Jo Hoppe joined Pegasystems in 2003 where she serves as CIO. In this capacity, Jo is responsible for designing and building a comprehensive portfolio of enterprise solutions that capitalize on the intrinsic business advantages of Pegasystems’ rules-based BPM technology.
Prior to joining Pegasystems, she held the dual role of EVP/CIO of CMGI and CTO of uBID. Prior to CMGI, Jo was the CIO at Addison Wesley Longman and at Houghton Mifflin Co.
She is on the board of Society for Information Management and has been featured in CIO Magazine, Upside Magazine, Mass High Tech, Boston Women’s Journal, ComputerWorld, Publishers’ Weekly and the Seybold Report.
Ulric J. (Joe) Gelinas, Jr., is Professor of Accountancy at Bentley College. He received his M.B.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Massachusetts. He is co-author of Accounting Information Systems, 6th ed., and Business Processes and Information Technology. He is a recipient of the Innovation in Auditing and Assurance Education Award from the American Accounting Association. Dr. Gelinas has published in International Journal of IT Standards and Standardization Research, Issues in Accounting Education, IS Audit & Control Journal, Technical Communications Quarterly, IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, Journal of Information Systems Education, Annals of Cases on Information Technology and other outlets.
